I can think of many challenges that this idea brings with it, but as stated, this is supposed to present another option, another way of living that responds to our time and the political and economical fabric associated with it. The thought of developers wanting to create more adaptable spaces is great, that way wastefulness of space could be decreased and the importance of designed spaces could be elevated and emphasized in today's developments where there is a lack of design due to financial reasons. But flexibility provides a new financial incentive for developers to work with designers to create spaces that work now and down the line.
