It's bath_play_day and we looked at some bathrooms that are shaped in demanding ways. Long and fairly skinny room shapes pose a challenge to the interior design of the bathroom and require unconventional design measures. Check out these pictured of creative bathroom designs. The material palette, colors and placements are geared to enhance the user's experience and comfort in the space. Seamless and open concepts are important in long rooms to capture a feeling of openness. Floor material changes instead of walls or partitions can be used to define different areas within a space without enclosures. A continuous wall material that extends outside the wet space unifies the room and makes it feel more spacious. Integrated bathtubs are a great way to provide a soaking experience that visually becomes one with the space and won't be as noticed, while freestanding bathtubs can help break up the area into zones and add some softness through curves and rounded finishes.

The bathroom is a great place to get creative and design in unexpected ways to address today's way of living and needs. Often times overlooked in its potential, at designATplay we see it as a source for well-being in a home and love taking on challenging renovations and remodels as well as new construction.
