embracing hygge
the first phase of this complete home transformation entailed all new windows, a deck addition, and the renovation of the laundry, powder room, and adding a pantry. scandinavian vibes of coziness, serenity and simplicity are evident throughout and give a glimpse for what's to come for the remainder of the interior.

now, a focal point of the front facade--the 5' wide custom pivot door and white oak--surround and invite you inside, setting the tone for what's to come!
the entrance was dark and unassuming.

the large gable addition creates ample space for outdoor living and gathering with a paloform kodo fireplace that sets the mood.
the only outdoor space was a low back porch lacking atmosphere and functionality.

the new laundry is functional with ample storage, inviting, and simply a joy to be in. even the dogs love taking the baths in the custom dog wash!
the 2nd bedroom on the main floor was located in an unsuitable area of the house. we transformed it into a large laundry with dog wash.

the addition of the rear covered deck and the new pantry, powder room, entry and laundry spaces are just the beginning in the transformation!
the house was in need for some re-imagining of spaces to create flow and functionality.

the re-imagined entrance from the garage is warm and calming; it's an actual space and part of the home as a whole! here is where the journey begins.
