life's tile

an incredible transformation taking this outdated bathroom from an unassuming and dysfunctional to an engaging, serene, and affirming space worthy of the title owner's bathroom

the original bathroom was a grouping of fixtures that did not mesh well and was dated on all levels.

with this transformation, we distinguished spaces and created a harmonious atmosphere. the contemporary wet space concept works well in this expansive bathroom.

the older vanity was dated in materials, color, appearance, and functionality. the carpet in the bathroom is another major no-go.

the new custom vanity with tile backsplash features the tiny shaker cabinet style and maintains a classic and elegant aesthetic.

gold-colored metal and textured glass don't do the old shower any favors. the space can be used in a much more creative and functional way.

a zero-entry shower that extends into the tub area is separated from the bathroom by two glass elements and is ada approved. the cool color palette gives it a spa-like feel.

the vertically striped wallpaper "feature" was one of the first elements to go!

the wall between the closet and the bathroom now offers style and functionality. it features a mirrored sliding door and two glass cutouts that bring natural light into the closet and create a warm atmosphere in the bathroom when the closet lights are on.
