simply functional

we developed a redesign of the second floor-plan that responds to our client’s needs; combining functionality and simplicity to create an out-of-the-ordinary interior to unwind, relax, and work.

the original structure reflects harsh lighting and the muddy coloring typical of colorado homes. we reconfigured the original guest bathroom into an ensuite made for a master bedroom.

this new master bath features bold and modern black fixtures and a concrete countertop, adding subtle undertones of strength and grace. he soothing color palette meshes gray, white, and black to create a minimalist look. the arabesque shower tiles and custom maple vanity create a contrast that plays well with other elements of this space.

the original bedroom doesn’t inspire relaxation.

we transformed the footprint of this primary bedroom so that the ensuite bath is situated adjacent to the bedroom and the whole second story now features walnut floors throughout. the neutral paint and industrial light fixtures magnify the wow factor of this simple yet classic redesign.

AFTER FLOOR PLAN.jpg

re-planning the cluttered layout of the original floor plan was the first step to realizing the vision for a new, revitalizing space.

the footprint of this floor plan was dramatically changed. we knocked out some of the interior walls to make more space for the guest bedroom. the layout is much more open and functional.
