the wall placement before was awkward and compartmentalized, separating spaces and prohibiting a good flow.

the re-imagined layout now seamlessly connects to the formal dining and living areas, fostering a natural flow that invites gathering and conversation. angular design elements thoughtfully echo the home’s original architecture, enhancing spatial harmony and reinforcing a cohesive, intentional aesthetic.

the kitchen was dark and uninviting, as well as dysfunctional. the starkness of the white cabinetry contributed to the dull and bland atmosphere.

the richness of the new material palette, paired with a highly functional layout and intuitive flow, elevates the space into a statement-making kitchen and dining area. thoughtfully integrated design elements enhance both aesthetics and usability, transforming it into a true showpiece within the home

the design of the kitchen before showcases perfectly how an island can become an obstacle in a space instead of an element that contributes to the function and overall flow.

by removing the wall and introducing an expanded island that incorporates both the cooktop and an integrated dining table, we achieved a seamless blend of functionality and refined design. the island now serves as a sculptural centerpiece, anchoring the space with both visual impact and practical versatility.

the placement of the wall before created a tiny kitchen that was completely cut off from the other spaces.

by thoughtfully re-configuring the oversized foyer to incorporate additional square footage into the kitchen, we were able to craft a generously scaled culinary space that aligns with the proportions and character of this custom home. the result is a kitchen that now feels appropriately scaled and fully integrated within the architectural context of the residence.
