the green walls and dark oak cabinets closed the space in to a cave-like feel that felt in total contrast to the rest of the house.

there is no comparison to the openness and light flood space the client gets to enjoy now. the large island with quartz counter tops with a concrete look and the refinished oak floor add the needed brightness to make this space fit for entertaining.

the seating arrangement was small and felt cut off. during the previous renovation we added the window in the dining area which already helped tremendously. however, during the kitchen renovation this space really came to life!

with island seating and the adjacent dining room seating the arrangement now is cohesive and provides different opportunities for engaging and entertaining. light floods the spaces and bounces off the white walls. the cabinets and the fun color now stand in perfect contrast to the light floors and walls.

the business of the strong colors and finishes dated the space and made it feel dark and closed off.

the combination of light and dark colors, bold and subtle finishes and punch of fun colors introduces a vivid and playful atmosphere while maintaining a sophisticated palate. the juxtaposition of angles and straight contemporary lines speak to the unique and eclectic nature of this custom home.

the exterior of this home was brown, boxy, and outdated for sure. We enjoyed bringing new life to this one of a kind home.

we reframed the front, added a foyer and new roof structure, and replaced all the windows. the new two-toned stucco and gray stone veneer catapult the home into the 21st century, and the warm wood tones complete the look to achieve timelessness.

the front entrance was bland and awkward.

the new foyer addition and uniquely shaped roof bring focus to the repositioned front entrance. redesigning the passive solar allowed us to connect the front porch and back deck with composite decking that assures low maintenance with elevated curb appeal. the custom railing with tigerwood top rail blends seamlessly with the existing railing.

we gave this passive solar space a modern redesign that gives this exterior a facelift.

we replaced the windows and made the interior room more useful and aesthetically pleasing, all while maintaining the functionality of the passive solar capabilities.
